After a week in which the country-wide power outage caused by a large falling trees and branches left many cities in the dark, the first question during Sunday night Mayor debate is right: "does anyone have any plans to do a better job in the pruning of the trees in the streets of the city?"

Incumbent Mayor Michael s. Rohde (D) and opponent Walter Micowski (R) down on the opposite side in answers to questions first, set the tone for the aggressive-and-a-half-hour debate in the Holy Angels Catholic Church in South Meriden.

"We have to do is look at Wallingford-they have a tree trimming program is underway," said Micowski, who referred to his job as energy consulting services. Outage numbers on at Wallingford, which has its own electric company, is the minimum for a hurricane this past, compared to the rest of the country.
